When I grew up I always remember the women talking about how difficult it was to make fudge. It was enough to turn me from ever trying it until this recipe came along that my Mother uses. Let me assure you this is a snap, and weather doesn't seem to effect it either. Now if you need to dust yourself with a little flour to make your family think you've been slaving over this all day, I certainly won't give you away! INGREDIENTS:Lightly grease a 9" x 13" rectangular glass or metal pan with buttern (bottom only) 3 cups of granulated sugar
Special note: Tthis fudge will set up quickly, so don't spend a lot of time mixing it. Get it mixed up and pour immediately for best results. DIRECTIONS:1. Mix sugar, milk, butter, and vanilla in a pot, stirring constantly over medium heat. 2. Bring ingredients to a rolling boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring the entire time. You may have to increase the heat slightly but do so gradually and be careful not to let the bottom burn. 3. Remove pot from stove; add peanut butter and marshmallow creme. 4. Beat with electric mixer until mixture is well blended. 5. Butter a 9 x 11 pan. Pour contents into pan and allow to cool before cutting. |
